Real Salt Lake on Wednesday re-signed the midfielder to a new one-year contract after declining his option earlier this offseason. Mulholland spent much of the 2018 season sidelined due to injury, but returned late in the year and helped RSL in key moments of the postseason.
Dealing with that adversity "made it the toughest season of my career, but I’m happy with my health right now and I’m delighted to stay with Real Salt Lake,” Mulholland said in a news release. “I feel like I have unfinished business and the best is yet to come for Luke Mulholland and I’m really excited to give my best for the fans in Utah.
