On the ball, he's been quite the calming presence, too.
In the return leg at Rio Tinto Stadium on Wednesday night, he went 30 for 30 in completed passing attempts. Not too shabby for a guy playing his second game with his new club in a knockout round of a continental tournament.
"We preached all along [this preseason] is the choice of passes," RSL coach Jeff Cassar said. "[Sunny] needs to get the ball to the next player - he doesn't have to hit the final ball. He should have a high percentage of completions. I really like how him and Kyle move together defensively and cover for each other.
