HERRIMAN, UTAH (Thursday, February 16, 2021) – Real Salt Lake forward Douglas Martinez has been named to the Honduras U-23 National Team for an upcoming micro cycle from February 18-26, during which the team will play a pair of friendlies against Costa Rica.
The call-up is the latest this year for Martinez, who has been participating in several other micro cycles as the team prepares for CONCACAF Olympic Qualifying Championship next month in Mexico. Honduras will face Canada, El Salvador and Haiti during the Group Stage with the first match on March 19. The winner of each of the two qualifying groups will make the semifinal match.
