That's how former Chris Wingert describes a game at Yankee Stadium. The RSL left back spent the 2015 season at NYCFC. His RSL teammates have razzed the 33-year-old defender, saying they tuned into NYCFC matches a year ago just to see how the ball played on the makeshift field.
"Guys on the team joke about it now, saying we were 'must-see TV' last year," Wingert said. "We had a lot of 5-3, 4-4 games with tons of goals being scored. It's a really good thing for the fans, I guess. As a defender, that's certainly not ideal."
Luckily for RSL, the home side has yet to solve the puzzle of its own pitch.
