Taylor Peay’s Last-Minute Heroics lift Monarchs Over Colorado Springs Switchbacks 2-1
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado (Saturday, August 1, 2020) – Real Monarchs defeated regional rival Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC 2-1 to notch their first win of the 2020 season. The win moves the Monarchs into 2nd place in Group C of the USL Championship.
Midfielder Jack Blake and defender Taylor Peay each got a goal on either side of the half to secure the win.
The Monarchs dominated possession in the first 15 minutes of the match, but it would be Switchbacks FC with the best chances early on.
