Preview: RSL to clash with Vancouver in pivotal six-point swing

We’ve said it before, and we’ll say it again now: this is the most important match of the season for Real Salt Lake.

The top six is within reach for RSL this weekend, as they battle it out with the Vancouver Whitecaps at BC Place. In a virtual must-win for the visitors, taking home the full three points could potentially put them as high as fifth place if other results go their way. Let’s take a look at the Western Conference standings.

While nearly every team ahead of them has at least one game in hand, RSL could find themselves tied on points with Vancouver and Houston, while overtaking Dallas completely this weekend.
