Former Utah Rep. Jason Chaffetz’s new book has climbed to No. 7 on The New York Times’ list of hardcover nonfiction bestsellers. The book, “The Deep State: How an army of bureaucrats protected Barack Obama and is working to destroy Donald Trump,” debuted on Sept. 18 and is largely drawn on Chaffetz’s time in Congress. In its 223 pages, he demonstrates contempt for federal workers he assails as going against the Founding Fathers’ goal of limited government and trying to undermine elected officials. Chaffetz resigned six months into Trump’s presidency to take a job at Fox News.
