A pedestrian died Monday night after being struck by a car that then left the scene in American Fork — but police say the driver may not have known a person was hit.
“This street is dark so it is possible the driver did not realize they hit a pedestrian,” American Fork police wrote in a news statement.
The pedestrian was struck about 8 p.m. Monday near 280 E. Main Street in American Fork, police wrote.
Investigators believe that the vehicle is a 2006-2009 white Dodge Ram with a cargo-style shell and double doors on the rear.
