Omar Holness undergoes successful knee surgery

SANDY, Utah (Wednesday, July 19, 2017) – Real Salt Lake has announced that MF Omar Holness has undergone a successful knee procedure on Tuesday and is on the road to recovery.

Holness, 23, underwent surgery to repair of a ruptured ACL in his right knee and is expected to be out for 8-12 months. A first-round pick in the 2016 MLS SuperDraft after a standout career at the University of North Carolina, Holness is in his second season with Real Salt Lake. He has 18 career MLS appearances, six in a starting role, and scored his first MLS goal on June 3 against FC Dallas.
