Just as soon as the rumors started surfacing in the public sphere, Real Salt Lake’s signing of Alfredo Ortuño, a 26-year-old Spanish forward, seems has been made official in a club-issued press release.
In the release, Ortuño said he’s excited to live in the United States.
“I’m very happy to be signing with Real Salt Lake and very excited to live in America,” Ortuño said. “It’s a great opportunity for me to continue to grow as a player in a challenging environment.”
RSL general manager Craig Waibel spoke highly of Ortuño’s goalscoring record.
