New poll says most Salt Lake City voters don’t think Mayor Jackie Biskupski should get another term in office

Salt Lake City Mayor Jackie Biskupski may be vulnerable if she seeks re-election in 2019, according to a new poll.

A poll conducted for UtahPolicy.com, released Wednesday, found 56 percent of Salt Lake City residents don’t think she should receive a second term in office, and 29 percent of those said it was “definitely time for a new face.”

“Right now, this is not good news for her,” said Matthew Burbank, a political scientist at the University of Utah. “But it is certainly not in any way kind of an indication that she’s doomed and she could never hope to run again or something like that.
