(Saturday, June 10, 2017) – FW Chandler Hoffman and MF Andrew Brody tallied a goal apiece, as Real Monarchs (11-1-0, 33 points) earned a USL record-tying eighth consecutive victory with a 2-0 win against Portland Timbers 2. The Monarchs equaled the 2014 mark for consecutive victories set by Orlando City SC.
Additionally, the Monarchs are now on a seven-game home win streak at Rio Tinto Stadium dating back to last season, an active run which currently ranks fourth-best in the USL’s all-time record book.
The Claret-and-Cobalt USL side applied heavy pressure in the first half and finally broke through in the 41st minute.
