The man charged with savagely killing two teenagers and dumping their bodies in a mine has been making a lot of calls from the Utah County Jail — more than 1,000 — and he’s been talking about the homicides.

According to a recently unsealed search warrant, Jerrod Baum has been talking about killing Brelynne “Breezy” Otteson and Riley Powell, despite the fact that each time he uses the phone there’s a warning that the calls are recorded.

Baum, 41, has been charged with two counts of aggravated murder, two counts of aggravated kidnapping, two counts of abuse or desecration of a body, and one count each of obstructing justice and being a felon in possession of a dangerous weapon.
