Major League Soccer: New York Red Bulls charge past Montreal Impact, 3-1

Harrison, N.J. • Bradley Wright-Phillips scored two goals to become the New York Red Bulls' career leader and Sach Kljestan tied the club record for assists in a season in a 3-1 victory over the Montreal Impact on Saturday night.

Sean Davis had two assists in the first half and a goal in the opening minute of the second to help the Red Bulls (10-9-6) extend their unbeaten streak to seven games.

Montreal (8-6-9) took a 1-0 lead on Ignacio Piatti's 13th goal of the season on a counterattack in the 21st minute.

But the Red Bulls answered in the next minute when Davis and Kljestan set up Wright-Phillips.
