Brigham Young University honored the life and legacy of Maj. Brent Taylor, former mayor of North Ogden and a BYU Army ROTC alumnus, during a ceremony at the Ernest L. Wilkinson Student Center in Provo on Thursday.
Taylor, 39, was killed Nov. 3 while training an Afghan Army commando battalion near Kabul. He was on his second tour of duty in Afghanistan and fourth deployment of his 10-year military career.
The BYU Army ROTC unveiled the updated Memorial Wall — a list of BYU students and alumni who have died in service — which will now include Taylor’s name.
