Let's see, there are approximately 3.2 million people in Utah. That makes my share of the $200 million tax cut about $62 and, after paying state and federal taxes on it, it'll net me, um, maybe $50. I'd rather see it used to expand Medicaid.
Such a pity. Those who don't need the $50 will never know where they spent $50 and many of those who can use the money are probably the same ones who would benefit from Medicaid expansion. You know, like those who make a whopping $12,000 to $17,000 annually or who have lost their jobs and insurance due to medical issues, etc.
