On March 12, the Republican-led House Intelligence Committee released its findings regarding interference and collusion in the 2016 presidential election. The results of their finding are not surprising, given that they hold a 13-to-9 advantage in representation in this committee. Democrats on the committee do not agree with the Republicans’ findings.
What is surprising is that Republican findings contradict those of the intelligence community — the FBI, the CIA and the DNI. Last May, Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein (Attorney General Jeff Sessions recused himself from the Russia investigation) appointed Robert Mueller as special counsel.
