In what’s become a distressing trend for young attacker Jordan Allen, the RSL homegrown player is set to be out for the remainder of 2017 following a successful knee surgery, according to a release from RSL Communications.
The 22-year-old is anticipated to be out for six to seven months, leaving him a hopeful option for RSL’s 2018 preseason. He only recently returned from an injury sustained at the start of the season. He played 44 minutes for Real Monarchs in recent weeks before coming off with an injury.
It’s certainly a blow to Allen, who will find himself out of contention for the second season in his four-year professional career.
