The Utah Jazz announced an announcement — yes, you read that right — slated to take place at 3:30 p.m. MT at Vivint Arena. It’s a big one, too, given the names in attendance: Larry H. Miller Group of Companies owner Gail Miller, CEO Steve Starks, Utah Governor Gary Herbert, Salt Lake City Mayor Jackie Biskupski, and NBA commissioner Adam Silver.
And given recent comments by Starks may hint at what’s coming. In August, he told reporters “We hope to find some good news here before not too long,” about the prospect of the Jazz hosting the 2023 NBA All-Star Game.
