The shooting happened about 6 a.m. near 6800 W. 7600 South. West Jordan police Sgt. J.C. Holt said the home owner is fine.
The burglar, a woman, was pronounced dead inside the home, Holt said. Police remained on the scene Friday morning investigating what happened.
