Utahns across the Wasatch Front who haven’t already cast their ballots by mail ahead of Election Day have the opportunity Tuesday to weigh in on the future of their cities through voting on local leadership.
Among the biggest seats at stake this year is in the state’s capital city, where state Sen. Luz Escamilla and Salt Lake City Councilwoman Erin Mendenhall are facing off in Salt Lake City’s first general election ballot that has featured two women for mayor.
In Salt Lake County, Brighton, Millcreek and West Jordan also have mayors up for election. In Weber County, residents in Ogden, North Ogden and Hooper will have the chance to elect new top leaders.
