Corner Canyon rallied from a halftime deficit to beat Timpview 57-52 in a matchup of Region 7 girls’ basketball teams unbeaten in league play. It marked the first time in the school’s five all-time meetings that the Chargers (14-1, 3-0) emerged victorious.
“It was a super fun game, going back-and-forth like that,” said Sanderson, who did make the box score with four points and seven rebounds. “It’s huge. We’re all very excited.”
Junior guard Kemery Martin had a game-high 24 points and nine rebounds, and junior forward Jaeden Vaifanua added 20 points and 10 rebounds for the host Chargers, who moved into sole possession of first place in region.
