Authorities say a 50-year-old Florida man died in Utah’s Provo River after getting caught in the current under a railroad bridge.
KUTV-TV reports the man was kayaking with family Tuesday afternoon on the river northeast of the city of Provo.
Wasatch County Chief Deputy Jared Rigby says the man was wearing a lifejacket, but the water’s strength trapped him under a truss of the bridge.
