A suspect who set off an explosion in the New York City subway was taken into custody after the blast Monday morning, according to authorities.
The blast was reported in Midtown Manhattan in the area of the Port Authority Bus Terminal, and police had said they were responding to the explosion at 42nd Street and 8th Avenue.
A police spokesman said the suspect was injured and did not go into further detail, describing the situation as "very fluid." The New York Fire Department said there was one non-life-threatening injury due to the explosion, but the department did not specify if the person injured was the suspect.
