Firefighters in Utah found no relief from wildfires Wednesday, as conditions remained much the same as they did the days before: hot, dry and windy — perfect weather for the blazes to grow.
Utah’s largest wildfire — the Dollar Ridge Fire in Duchesne County — increased overnight from 30,000 acres to 40,469, according to the U.S. Forest Service. The fire will likely continue spreading throughout the day, as it burns through timber in the area.
Similar conditions helped the blaze’s burn area quadruple in size from Sunday into overnight Monday, destroying 20 to 30 structures and prompting evacuations and Gov.
