Sandy, Utah (Thursday, March 28, 2019) – Utah Royals FC MF Desiree Scott has been called to the Canadian Women’s National Team for a friendly match against England, as both teams prepare for the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup. Canada will face England on April 5 at the Academy Stadium in Manchester, England.
This will be the first matchup since the 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup quarterfinal where Canada fell to England 2-1. Canada looks for redemption in the tune-up match before heading to the biggest stage, as it takes on Cameroon, New Zealand, and the Netherlands at the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
