A group of anti-Trump protesters with signs had gathered across the street from the entrance to the event space. As I peeled out of the line to cross the street, I saw a woman in her 50s walking quickly toward the venue. I wasn’t sure if she was headed to the event or to protest until she opened her mouth and snarled, “I want to punch a Democrat!”
