There will be plenty of places to ski in Utah over Thanksgiving weekend. Recent cold weather has been a boon for resorts — including Snowbird, which will open for the season Saturday,
Ten days of low overnight temperatures and “the herculean efforts of our snowmaking crews” have Snowbird ready to open six days earlier than previously announced, President and General Manager Dave Fields said in a news release. “Weather forecasts show a system change later this week, allowing Mother Nature to hopefully take over and deliver an added boost of powder snow.”
Brian Head, Brighton and Snowbasin are already open; Park City Mountain opens Wednesday; Alta opens Friday.
