Cameron Champ wins Utah Championship; BYU’s Patrick Fishburn finishes in top 25

Farmington • Cameron Champ bogeyed the 18th hole but still won the Utah Championship, finishing one stroke ahead of Steven Ihm on Sunday at Oakridge Country Club.

The former Texas A&M golfer from Sacramento shot 61-64-67-68 for a total of 24 under par, three strokes better than the winning score last July in Oakridge Country Club’s first staging of the Web.com Tour event.

Thanks to the $126,000 winner’s check, Champ clinched PGA Tour access for the 2018-19 schedule that starts in October by moving to No. 3 on the Web.com Tour’s season money list.
