Bigger Than Soccer: RSL Foundation Makes Utah Food Bank Donation

This Saturday, Real Salt Lake was scheduled to host the New England Revolution at Rio Tinto Stadium. With the possibility of 20,000 fans in attendance, the Rio Tinto Stadium food services partner, Levy, needed to be ready to feed them all. However, with Major League Soccer season suspended until May 10, that left a lot of food that was not going to stay fresh before RSL’s next home match.

With activity suspended at Zions Bank Stadium and the Zions Bank Real Academy, too, there was nearly 1,500 pounds of food ready to be prepared for the masses that would go bad well before teams returned to action.
