Bees’ three-game winning streak snapped with 9-4 to Rainiers

The Salt Lake Bees saw their three-game winning streak end Saturday night after falling 9-4 to the Tacoma Rainiers in the opener of the teams’ four-game series at Smith’s Ballpark.

It wasn’t the only streak that ended for Salt Lake, whose pitching staff had reeled off 17 consecutive scoreless innings until Tacoma broke through in the top of the third on an RBI double by Braden Bishop that helped the Rainiers jump out to a 3-0 lead.

The three runs would be the only damage allowed by Alex Klonowski (0-3), who took the loss despite logging his first quality start of the season.
