Andy Ludwig, Utah's first and longest-lasting play-caller of the Kyle Whittingham coaching era, is a top target of the school's search for another offensive coordinator.
Utah offensive line coach Jim Harding and Virginia offensive coordinator Robert Anae, formerly of BYU, also are said to be high on Whittingham's list, according to various reports and Salt Lake Tribune sources.
Whittingham has some incentive to name a coordinator by this weekend, with several recruits (including a quarterback prospect) visiting the campus, but he has consistently said there's no deadline for the hire.
Ludwig spent four years as Utah’s offensive coordinator, moving after the Utes' 2009 Sugar Bowl win over Alabama.
