Real Salt Lake has agreed a new deal with center back Aaron Maund, general manager Craig Waibel told supporters at a town hall tonight.
Maund, 26, turned a new leaf in 2016, quickly becoming one of the most important players in RSL’s lineup, forming a strong partnership with Justen Glad.
The move seals perhaps the only big uncertainty among RSL players returning at this point.
Maund’s 2016 was unfortunately cut short by an injury, and he played in only 20 matches.
Real Salt Lake acquired Maund from Toronto FC in 2013, and until 2015 rolled around, he hadn’t played more than a handful matches.
