Perhaps one of the easiest ways to celebrate Juneteenth is to pay patronage to Black-owned businesses in the community. Right here in Utah there are a plethora of Black owned restaurants for the whole family to enjoy, here are just a few of our favorites.

  • Jamaica’s Kitchen

One of Salt Lake City’s original and most popular food trucks offers a taste of Jamiacan cuisine. Chef Donovan cooks up fresh flavors and authentic Jamaican including their signature Jerk Chicken and Coco Bread.

  • Lovee’s Cakes

Nestled in South Ogden, owner Debbie Glanton began selling her signature Lovee’s Cakes out of her home kitchen and in just nine years she has developed a loyal following across Utah who come from all over just to sample her Potato Chip Cookies, Chocolate Covered Bacon Strips, Cheesecake Bites and original Cupcakes.
