The last few years have been an absolute rollercoaster for RSL defender Chris Schuler. An injury-riddled professional career has taken him from a regular starter in the center-back position all the way to an unsigned player, and seemingly everywhere in between.
Unofficially dubbed the unluckiest player in MLS, his latest bout with injury came in 2015, where he only played a total of five games and missed the rest of the season with a couple of injuries — the final blow coming when it was announced he would be out 4-6 months after undergoing surgery on his left foot.
