Purdue’s free-fall in the middle of the Big Ten slate continues as they lose back to back games, this time against Penn State at home by a score of 80-70.
This has been an extremely frustrating stretch for the Boilermakers losing 6 of their last 7 games. Penn State inside Mackey Arena is no doubt a winnable game and Purdue let the opportunity slip away in what was a must win.
The team actually played well throughout the first half, holding double digit advantages at multiple points of the half. Heading into the third quarter, it was back and forth between the two squads before Penn State really started to press on the gas when Johnasia Cash began to take control of the scoring.
