Purdue’s nightmare of a season has now come to a close as the Boilermakers dropped their first Big Ten Tournament game to the #6 seed Iowa by a score of 83-72.
It would also appear that the Sharon Versyp era will be over in West Lafayette as well, given how this season played out. It would not be surprising to see an announcement tomorrow from the Purdue Athletic Department, but that remains to be seen.
Disappointing is the nicest way I could explain the year of 2020-21, with just two wins in the final 3 months of the season, the worst conference record in Versyp’s tenure and Karissa McLaughlin’s injury troubles were just about everything that could go wrong.
