Here is the big one. After Sunday’s game against Wisconsin Purdue has an excellent chance to make some hay in the Big Ten race. We go to Iowa (A team we have already beaten by 22 and it wasn’t even that close) before hosting Illinois and Penn State. We should be favored in each of those games. After that, it is back-to-back trips to Big Ten leaders Michigan State and… Nebraska? What?
Anyway, Purdue gets a relative breather here after Wisconsin and before a nasty stretch of four road dates in five games. It is the only meeting with the Badgers, who were the prohibitive favorites to win the league before the season and so far they have done nothing to make people think they won’t be there all year.
