Welcome to the Show: Kevin Plawecki Called Up to the Mets

The former Purdue catcher will make his Major League debut on Tuesday.

The current incarnation of Purdue baseball is mired in terrible slump. Purdue is 1-11 in the toughest Big Ten in decades, has been swept in four straight weekend series (including one by Butler), and will likely miss the Big Ten Tournament for a third consecutive year after a long run of success. Still, there is good news this weekend.

Kevin Plawecki, the MVP catcher of the 2012 Big Ten Championship team, got the call today and was elevated to the Mets.
