Once again, this is why Purdue can't have nice things.
Last night, we here at Hammer & Rails learned of a water main break on Purdue's athletic campus, caused by the ongoing renovations for the new Purdue Football Facilities. As Gold and Black reported last night, that water flowed towards the Brees Student-Athlete Academic Center (formerly known as the Intercollegiate Athletic Facility (IAF)). Upon entering the building, the current football locker room, volleyball locker room, Holloway Gymnasium, and other facilities within the building were flooded.
According to the reports, Belin Court, Purdue Volleyball's playing surface pictured above, was damage beyond repair, and will need to be replaced before the 2016 season starts in August.
