It is not an NBA title, but rookie Vincent Edwards has closed up his first season as a pro with a championship. Last night the Rio Grande Valley Vipers, the G-League team for the Houston Rockets, closed out the Long Island Nets 129-112. The game was the final of the G-League playoffs and Vince had 7 points, 8 rebounds, and four assists int he final.
It has been an up and down season for Edwards. He is on a two-way contract, meaning he gets more money and some guaranteed time with the big club, but he has spent much of the season down in the G-League.
