Austin Appleby has been having a monstrous game early on against the Indiana State Sycamores and has led the Purdue Boilermakers to a quick 14-0 lead over their in-state rival in the first quarter.
First, Appleby was able to find Cameron Posey for a 57-yard touchdown to open up the scoring. Now, he has thrown his second touchdown of 50 yards or more with a 50-yard bomb to wide receiver DeAngelo Yancey. It was an impressive play to say the least and gives Boilermaker fans reason to be excited about their football team.
Granted, Indiana State is not a quality football team and Purdue can’t take too much away from these long touchdowns.
