Two tickets already punched for NCAA Championships

Thrower Chukwuebuka Enekwechi and distance runner Matthew McClintock, both juniors, finished their respective events in qualifying positions for the finals in Eugene, Oregon.

Enekwechi, the Big Ten champion in hammer throw, placed ninth in the event with a distance of 65.40m. This marks the third season he has advanced to the championships.

McClintock crossed the line first in the 10,000m run, posting a time of 29:47.98. A two-time cross country All-American, McClintock will be making his first trip to the national finals in track and field. He took second in the event at the Big Ten Championships.
