Two Boilermakers earn All-America honors

Chukwuebuka Enekwechi is chasing the NCAA Division-I weight throw record set by Wisconsin's Michael Lihrman.

Chukwuebuka Enekwechi and Matthew McClintock both earned outdoor First Team All-America honors for the first time in their careers.

Enekwechi earned sixth place in the hammer throw with a distance of 68.42 meters. The sixth place finish is a five-spot improvement over his finish last season. He previously took home two Second Team All-America honors, two in the hammer throw.

Enekwechi also competed in the shot put where he took 22nd place overall with a mark of 18.43 meters.

McClintock stayed near the middle of the pack for most of his 10,000-meter race.
