The Purdue Boilermakers were able to grind out a big victory over the seventh ranked Tennessee Volunteers in the semi-finals of the Maui Invitational 71-67. The Boilers struggled in almost every facet of the game with the exception of offensive rebounds (19 total) and second chance points (19). The Boilers were just 29-48 (60.4%) from the free throw line when they had been 77.1% on the season and there were plenty of other areas that could be focused on that Purdue didn’t do well. At the end of the night, though, Purdue got a hard earned victory.
