The Boilers will be looking to bounce back from Sunday afternoon's 8-0 mercy rule loss to Nebraska, which dropped Purdue to 1-2 versus the Huskers over the weekend. The team managed just one run total over the three games played, and the Boilers will be hoping to swing the bat better against IPFW.
“We need to get our bats going and get some more hard hits these next few games,” senior utility fielder Alyssa Koorsen said. “We need to see the ball a little better and focus on putting it in play a little more often. Our defense has been great and our pitching has been great, so we just need to put the ball in play.
