In one play, Purdue’s season might have just crumbled in two heaps before conference play could even get going.
Purdue is playing host to the Minnesota Golden Gophers, trying to rebound from a loss to TCU two weeks ago.
Elijah Sindelar, fifth year starter, was returning from a concussion he suffered against Vanderbilt September 7th.
But on one play, Sindelar was hit for a sack and driven into the ground. He would stay writhing on the ground for minutes.
Twenty yards up field from Sindelar and a little to the left, Purdue’s do everything, Heisman candidate, star sophomore receiver, Rondale Moore, was trying to get to the other side of the field.
