There have been 15 Freshman of the Week awards handed out this season by the Big Ten Conference. A Purdue player has now won 7 of them between four different players. It’s quite an accomplishment for this young team. Especially true when you consider that Michigan bluechip recruit Hunter Dickinson won the award 7 times this season. For those doing the math at home that means there was only one week this season where the freshman of the week was not a Purdue player or Hunter Dickinson. It was the week of March 1st and was Andre Curbelo from Illinois.
