Purdue Women’s Golf Finishes Ninth at NCAA Championships

Another golf season is complete and Purdue performed extremely well at the women’s NCAA championships. Poor weather delayed yesterday’s third and final round of stroke play to finish today, but a tough third round saw Purdue fall from seventh after 36 to ninth after 54. The fall is small, but significant, as the top eight teams moved on to match play to decide the National Championship.

Overall Purdue was +41 for the tournament, tied with Illinois for ninth place. Auburn took the eighth and final transfer spot with a +39, and Purdue’s +19 in the final round was the difference as Auburn was +15 in round 3.
