The team could face some quality competition during their holiday tournament.
Purdue announced seven of eleven non-conference match-ups for the upcoming Women's Basketball season. The team is guaranteed to play at least one NCAA Tournament team if not more during their trip to Florida.
In their exhibition game Purdue will host Marian University. Marian is coached by former Purdue standout Katie Gearlds. Gearlds is going into her third season at Marian. Last season the Knights finished 28-6 and played in the NAIA tournament.
Purdue will start their season with two home games; the first against Jacksonville State(19-10) and the second against Illinois-Chicago (16-14).
